THE Mackay Cutters will head
into the Christmas break in high spirits after a moraleboosting
off-season campaign under new coach Paul Bramley.
The STM Cutters are fighting
fit after a lengthy crusade
in the gym and on the paddock
and the work-outs have
last year’s wooden spoon side
in good condition leading into
the NewYear.
The club’s operations manager
Jamie McDonald said the troops had earned a rest.
“The boys have been training
pretty hard over the last
seven weeks so it’s a well
deserved break,” he said after
their final training session at
Mackay Harbour on Saturday
morning.
However, McDonald was
hopeful the boys wouldn’t
indulge in too much cheer
during the festive break.
“We don’t want them to
blow out too much over Christmas,”
he said.
The Cutters will return to
training with a camp at Rowallan Park from January 8-10.
